A bittersweet week here at The Meridian Weekly , we’re closing a chapter on three generations of home delivery. Art, Dan, Beau, and Mike Price have been the backbone of our carrier service since the early ’90s, but beginning in June, we’re returning to postal delivery. We couldn’t be more grateful to the Price family, Tom Turek, and every carrier who’s rolled out thousands of papers through rain, snow, and sunshine. (Maybe now Art can finally sneak in more fishing and golf!)
Elsewhere in this packed May 24th edition: we celebrate the Ovid-Elsie girls’ soccer team clinching their sixth straight conference championship, Laingsburg’s Tami Skok heading to the Transplant Games on her 10-year “kidney-versary,” and beautiful Memorial Day service listings across Ovid, Laingsburg, Elsie, and Greenbush. Plus, we honor local graduates, share rhubarb fundraisers, library summer reading kickoffs, and heartfelt obituaries. As always — thank you for growing up with us, weekly, for 35 years.
