The Meridian Weekly – June 7, 2026

This week’s edition is filled with community pride. The Ovid-Elsie school board approved a new five year strategic plan focused on growing opportunities for every student. We also congratulate Jerry Snyder as Teacher of the Year and Victoria Seidel as Employee of the Year. On the sports front, our girls soccer and baseball teams are both district champions and advancing to regionals. The Ovid Downtown Farmers Market is now open every Thursday, and Ovid resident Robert Rodway is planning to open a satellite office for his mental health practice, Minds Over Matter, right here in town. As always, thank you for making The Meridian Weekly part of your week.

Big changes are here at The Meridian Weekly. Beginning with this issue, your newspaper is arriving in the mailbox for homes in Bannister, Elsie, Ovid, Laingsburg, and St. Johns. For our readers in Ashley and rural Owosso, you can find the full paper online for free at here at meridianweekly.com, plus additional drop off locations in Ashley. We are grateful for the decades of carrier service from the Price family and look forward to this next chapter of delivering local news.
