This week’s edition of The Meridian Weekly is filled with stories of community growth and heartfelt remembrance. We are proud to highlight the Golden Anniversary improvements at Looking Glass Terrace in Laingsburg, a unique housing community that has provided affordable, quality living for residents age 62 and older for 50 years. The recent renovations, including new roofs, siding, and an upgraded community building, are a testament to the dedicated board and local sponsors who have kept this true community project thriving for decades. We also welcome Dr. Valerie Hooper and Dr. Ali Al-Waili to Memorial Healthcare, expanding access to behavioral health and internal medicine services in our region.
We also say goodbye to several beloved community members, including Carolyn Wilson, Grant LeDuke, and Donald Bendt, whose service and kindness touched countless lives. In other news, Tank’s Tavern in Laingsburg received a $25,000 Match on Main grant to expand its outdoor patio, the Looking Glass Terrace community celebrated with a pumpkin painting party and Christmas cookie decorating, and the Moonlight Market returns to Owosso with five evenings of vendors, food, and family fun. As always, thank you for making The Meridian Weekly part of your summer.
