Dr Ryan Cunningham

Although his current contract runs into 2023, he indicated that he had been thinking about this decision for months and that the recent investigation into district gas use by him was not a factor in his decision. “After much deliberation, I have decided to retire as Superintendent of Ovid-Elsie Area Schools effective August 31,

I am thankful for the 22 years Ovid-Elsie Area Schools have allowed me to serve this community as a principal, director, superintendent, and coach of several different sports. While I am not sure what my future holds, I am excited to transition to the next phase of my life.

Ovid-Elsie has always been a great place to live, work and learn and I know that our administrative team and staff will rise up and continue to do great things in the years to come,” stated Dr. Cunningham.

The following notice was sent to parents last Thursday, August 4th by Board President, Eric Jones.
